Bobby Bo Bodeo: The Second Recording Session

Dialog recording for Bobby Bo Bodeo is complete. We finished off the remaining fourteen pages of the script on Monday January 9th. The recording session went surprisingly well. Not that it didn’t go well the first time, but we recorded fourteen pages in just over two hours. The last time, it took almost twice as long to record twelve pages of what we thought were going to be the easiest portions of the script.

This pages that were left to record contained a huge scene that included nearly every character in the script. Eric slated this as “Scene 17, also known as the hairy three headed monster” (or something to that effect). It’s a big scene, and we tried figuring out how to break it up in to small portions. After a little bit of discussion, we decided to just go for a take, and see how far we could get in to the scene.

All of the actors were really hitting their marks, but I don’t think any one of us expected what happened. They made it through the entire scene, from beginning to end, in one take. There was nothing about it that we would want done differently, so we reviewed what we had recorded, and caught a few lines that we had missed. We recorded the last few lines, and called it a night.

Now that the dialog is recorded, we need to meet with Rick, the engineer, and clean up and mix down the dialog tracks so that I can get to work on an animatic for the guys over at Flicker Mill.

ARMY Men: Short Film Completed

ARMY MEN has been completed. Anyone who has been to the CreativeLOGIC site in the past week knows this already. We put the finishing touches on the film and uplaoded it to the site on January 4th. Exaclty one month after the shoot. That’s not bad timing considering it was the month of December with all of the holidays, travel, and general lack of time to put in to this project. Not to mention the issues that we had with the footage. We worked through all of the problems and turned out something that I think is worth checking out. So head on over to CreativeLOGIC and give it a look. The run time of the film is a little bit under four minutes with the credits. Let me know what you think after you have seen it. Enjoy.
